Visual notes are snapshots of the street. They feed on abundance of details you can always found there; they grow on a generous reservoir of circumstances. Everywhere and every time something occurs. A person turns around, a light turns on, a sound repeats itself. And my “camera” starts to shoot. But what I shoot, what I draw, is not what I see, but what I think about what I see. I think of that kid, spotted at Rathaus Steglitz on 27 Nov 2012 at around 17:20, with his unavoidable mane of slightly disturbed hair, to be the very image of puberty. I think of isolated facts as generic. I turn dull into important. And I inaugurate unexpected points of view.
